Interactive art in Tampere!
Jaana Partanen is participating in the Tampere Art Museum’s Illusion Spring Exhibition from February 26 to May 22, 2022, which is one of the first large-scale exhibitions of interactive space art in Finland. Tampere Art Museum’s Illusion Spring Exhibition 26.2. – 22.5.2022 is the first large-scale exhibition of interactive space art in Finland. All the artists selected for the exhibition are pioneers of Finnish interactive art: Jaana Partanen, Petri Eskelinen, Hanna Haaslahti, Markus Kåhre, Pasi Rauhala, Heidi Tikka and Jarno Vesala.
“The works in the exhibition deal with a variety of themes, such as disappearance and temporality, the subconscious and the dream world, parenting and interpersonal relationships, and the exercise of social power. The unifying factor between the different works is giving the viewer an active role. ”
The exhibition features Jaana Partanen’s work Matrix Layer, the second part of The Mental Alchemy trilogy, which reflects on the secrets of the mind and especially the world of sleep.
The exhibition is open at Tampere Art Museum, address Puutarhakatu 34, Tue-Thu 9-17 and Fri-Sun 10-18.
